Professional Organizers Collective: Year End Review
2025 has come with growth and expansion for the Professional Organizers Collective. Beginning as Iowa Professional Organizers in 2006 and evolving to the Professional Organizers Collective in 2023, we are now 30 Members strong, offering Professional Organizing and Efficiency Consulting Services in 7 states. Our expansion has been more than just geographic - we have added experts in photo and media organizing and home staging, handymen, metaphysical organizers, and United States Military Veteran Entrepreneurs - all fantastic and welcome additions to our group seasoned Pro’s!
This year members of the Collective continued the tradition of sharing our time and talents to help deserving families get organized at no cost to them. Here is just a glimpse at Bennett’s story. Bennett was born with Trisomy 18, also known as Edwards Syndrome. He requires 24 hour care and lots of equipment. Bennett is beating the odds, but his family struggled with storage space in their garage since so many supplies are needed for Bennett’s care. Luckily, Bennett’s mom has been friends with one of our amazing Organizers, Amber of Amber’s Home Organization since they were 4 years old. That’s where we were able to help. All it took was a small team of skilled professionals with compassionate hearts, and a few hours on a Saturday morning and the space was transformed. What an exciting day for the family, and for us! We are reminded of what a gift these services can be, and of how blessed we are to be able to work together to support one another and more importantly, that we can support such deserving members of the community.
Continuing to give back, Professional Organizers Collective marked our 7th year sponsoring Courage Ride, an annual bike ride that raises seed grant funding for University of Iowa Hospitals and Clinics Sarcoma Cancer Research. Collective Founder Jenn lost her mom to sarcoma in 2015, so this annual event is near and dear to her heart. Courage Ride also had a big year in 2025, reaching the 1 million dollars donated benchmark!
Our experiences together aren’t always volunteering and work, we also make time to pause, reflect, and learn with each other, while celebrating member accomplishments and supporting each other’s journey. Our winter weekend retreat was held in Galena, Illinois with guest speaker Trish Raap, who spoke to us about the Balance Wheel of Life. We had a great time exploring the city, relaxing to yoga and a sound bath, and eating delicious food catered by Thai Spice!
For our fall retreat we gathered in gorgeous Lake Geneva, Wisconsin for more amazing food by Chef Annie, who was able to travel with us instead of sending catered food. It was so fun having Annie on hand! We welcomed special guest speaker Cara Flynn of 1 Year 1 Fear Podcast, and were even able to record an episode with here! Listen HERE
And, of course, all of our greatest retreat moments are caught by Redhead Media’s Whitney Linville. She is a magical human who always knows how to capture the magic of each moment. We love Whitney!
So basically, this train is a rollin, and it is showing no signs of slowing down. We are a dedicated group of like-minded, inspired, inspiring, welcoming, supportive, and hilarious human beings who appreciate life, love, and the pursuit of happiness. We know that life can be hard, but when we support one another, we bring value and credibility to our industry, growing in the right way while maintaining the highest standards in integrity. There is more than enough room at the table, and if you have considered a career in Professional Organizing, let us show you why Professional Organizers Collective is THE best group you can be a part of.
