Spring Into Professional Organizing!

Hey there, my name is Jenn! I am one of the Founding Members of the Professional Organizers Collective. This group was formed in 2006 (as Iowa Professional Organizers) when a small group of determined individuals decided that we are stronger together. We knew that if we utilized our unique talents to compliment one another, we would have the power to grow the industry of Professional Organizing and Efficiency Consulting the way it should be; with honesty and integrity. For almost two decades, Organizers of the Collective have been providing top notch service to our clients and to each other, while also managing to have quite a bit of fun along the way!

If you have ever considered a career in the Organizing Industry, you may not comprehend just how many avenues of support there are in the field. You may choose to work with a certain demographic like the elderly, or families with young children. You may choose to work in homes, or to service fortune 500 companies with corporate organizing. You may choose to specialize in packing and moving, or in helping the chronically disorganized or people with mental health challenges. You may organize in person, or perhaps you prefer to provide virtual services.

No matter the path you choose, there are always clients in need of all sorts of services. That is where the Collective comes in to support YOU. Members of the group each have a unique skill set. Say for example a client asks you to for help with a Level 5 hoarded hose that is 4,000 sq’. If you have never experienced a project like this before, your initial response may be that it’s too big of a project or perhaps you are not sure how to offer a pricing estimate. You might need a service for hauling, or someone to follow-up with cleaning services or handy man work. As a member of the Collective, you could quickly and confidently reply with, “this level of task is outside of my scope, but I have colleague in the Collective that specialized in these types of situations. We can work together to help, or I can refer you.” You may also reply with, “Of course I can help you, I have a support team of colleagues in the Collective and we can help you through this with ease and efficiency. We can also connect you with a cleaning service and handy man that can follow-up with anything you need after we clear the space.” Being a member of the Collective instantly makes you the resource your client needs most.

Want to dip your toes in before making a commitment? Professional Organizers Collective offers several opportunities annually to connect, network, learn, and experience fun quality time with like-minded professionals in relaxing and restorative settings. Peer support Zoom Meetings are offered 4 times a year on the first Thursday of the month at 7pm in January, April, July, and October. Bi-Annual Meetings are offered in-person via retreat and via zoom, as well as recorded. We also offer Pro-Bono services to deserving families, which is a great opportunity to volunteer for a group project to see if Organizing is right for you.

We are currently planning our Fall 2025 retreat and you are NOT going to want to miss this. We will gather from Friday, September 12th - Sunday, September 14th in beautiful Lake Geneva, Wisconsin. The retreat will offer networking and social time, our bi-annual meeting, meals, shopping in downtown Lake Geneva, yoga, a meditation sound bath, workshops, breakout groups, and so much more!

We will have Chef Annie B, owner of Thai Spice with us, filling our bellies with delicious food all weekend. Whitney Linville of Redhead Media will be on hand for group photos as well as Individual head shots, and our special guest speaker/workshop presenter will be the captivating Cara Flynn. Cara is the leader of Beyond Barriers women’s adventure retreats, she is creator of Iron Flow (a strength program that combines yoga with kettlebells), and she is the voice of the 1 Year 1 Fear with Cara Flynn Podcast, as well as co-host of the Out Of Your Mind Podcast with our very own Jackie Kamradt, PhD.

Collective members work together and we play together, always remaining humble and grateful that we GET to do this for a living, and that we have each other to commiserate with at the end of the day. This retreat will sell out quickly. You do not need to be a member of the Collective to attend. Rates are available for the entire weekend, one overnight, and/or day rates only are available.
